About Me

Dorothy MayI was born in Norwich, England and emigrated to Invercargill, New Zealand when I was 14. I then moved to Wellington in 2004 where I have written this book.

My working life has been a nursing background meeting a diverse range of people from all ages and all walks of life.

I have always loved hand writing and not until my later years have I let my imagination run wild. I have to admit I am not very tech savvy and struggle with modern technology, not like the youth of today. I would much rather be out walking or sitting in a cafe thinking up characters and storylines and meeting people.

I want to keep the enjoyment of reading alive and to encourage the younger ones to use their imaginations.

My granddaughters keep me young at heart even though I don’t get to see them as much as I would like. I love to sit and watch them interact and play.

I also love to travel and I had added to my bucket list a visit to as many capital cities I can in my lifetime but unfortunately with the appearance of Covid-19 that has been put on hold and added to my to do later list.

In the meantime Book 2 is on the drawing board.

Happy reading everyone, whoever and wherever you are and let your imagination run wild.
